The HTMSA works hard to put on events for the HTM students to help you build connections and find great opportunities to succeed. Below is a list and description of some of the events we put on throughout the year.
Orientation: Held at the beginning of each school year as a welcome to all the incoming first year HTM students. Join us for a fun day of learning about the program and speaking with current students and faculty.
Think Pink: Our annual fundraiser event for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. A night that brings together students, faculty and the community for a night of live music, food drinks and socializing.
Pumpkin Sale: Support and share in the autumn festivities as the HTMSA in the end of October as we hold our annual pumpkin sale!
NYC Trip: An annual trip where we will be travelling overnight to NYC where we will spend two nights at the Hosteling International NYC on 103rd St. W., close to Central Park, the Broadway Subway and everything the big apple has to offer.
HobNob: HobNob verb. To mingle. The verb originally meant “to drink together”. Come out for a fun night at the end of the fall semester!
HTM Week: A week dedicated to HTM, what more could we ask for? This week revolves around our Job Expo where various employers from across Canada come to recruit enthusiastic and passionate students such as you! Other events include Smart Serve sessions and Alumni Night.
Information Sessions: Through the year, the HTMSA brings in industry professionals to share about their experience. Information Sessions are both engaging and informative!
Relay for Life: Be a part of our EAT.SLEEP.TRAVEL in Relay For Life – a celebration of survival and a tribute to the lives and loved ones that have been touched by cancer. Twelve hours of fun, friendship and fundraising to beat cancer.
Smart Serve: Smart Serve certification is mandatory for all employees of a licensed establishment. Get your certification through these convenient one-night sessions.
