Professional Convention Management Association: Student Chapter

Mission Statement To deliver superior and innovative education and promote the value of professional convention management.

PCMA is the Professional Convention Management Association and is committed to enhancing the education and knowledge of all its members. The organization provides monthly educational sessions to talk about the latest trends in the meeting and convention segment of the industry. Being a part of the PCMA student Chapter would enhance understanding of the industry and how it is run. It allows for networking with industry professionals to make contacts to only further students in their careers.

By becoming a member of the PCMA student chapter, each member will have access to 6,000 industry professionals and have access to Convene magazine.  Students receive discounted rates to educational meetings and networking events, and conferences and have access to their online learning center. The learning center provides educational programs and exam preparation to help individuals who want to become a Certified Meeting Professional.

PCMA is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is the principal governing body of PCMA and monitors the progress of PCMA’s plans for the future. In addition, PCMA Committees and Task Forces work to support PCMA’s goals and objectives.
